Leading up to the AAPA Summer Meeting, we will be sharing some tips for family-friendly fun and must-visit destinations in San Diego, CA! Today, we’re featuring the Gaslamp Quarter itself, home to our host hotel! This district is not only the heart but also the soul of downtown San Diego. There are restaurants to suit every taste (even those of picky eaters you may be bringing along!). Looking for some live – and lively – entertainment? Head to one of the many theaters, music venues, or comedy clubs in the area. Maybe you want to shop ’til you drop (or at least pick up a few souvenirs for family or friends); either way, you can find great shops nearby. Of course, you can always stick close to the host hotel, which is full of first-rate amenities*, including a rooftop pool and lounge, cabana rentals, fitness center, and more. Or, take a brisk 10-15 minute walk westward to experience a cool breeze from the San Diego Bay!
