You may be eligible to earn up to 12 CE credits for COVID-related work activities learned, created, and/or instituted from March 1, 2020 – December 31, 2021 (and must be within your three-year CMP cycle). The ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) recognizes the vital work of laboratory professionals in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the critical professional development it necessitated. Because of concerns about obtaining continuing education during the pandemic due to increased workloads and/or limited availability of in-person training or conferences, the BOC is offering a time-limited opportunity to use COVID-related activities performed within the normal scope of work or outside normal job duties for up to 12 CMP points/CEUs towards recertification. These points should be self-entered as a single CMP activity and allocated under “related areas of interest” only on the online declaration form.
