PNPL

The AAPA is collaborating with the Panel of National Pathology Leaders (PNPL), a national, non-profit “think tank” dedicated to advancing best practices for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. PNPL recently hosted their first webinars on Digital Pathology, which are now available for replay.

The free, two-part webinar series featured Dr. Matthew G. Hanna, Director of Digital Pathology Informatics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and guest host John H. Sinard, MD, PhD, Professor and Vice Chair for Clinical Operations in Pathology and Medical Director, Pathology Informatics at Yale School of Medicine/Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Part 1 – Digital Pathology from A to Z for Beginners covered the nuts and bolts for topics related to digital pathology systems for those who want a solid foundation.

Part 2 – How Digital Pathology Can Improve Your Laboratory explored how the use of digital pathology systems will change current pathology workflows, as well as the basics of machine learning related to pathology.

PNPL is pleased to share these webinars with AAPA’s members and looks forward to future collaborations.
