James M. Crawford, MD, PhD James M Crawford, MD, PhD is a nationally and internationally known Liver and GI Pathologist. His research has included study of bile formation, in vivo microscopy of the alimentary tract, hepatocellular neoplasia, and graft-versus-host disease. Since arrival at the North Shore-LIJ Health System in 2009, Dr. Crawford has been working hard to advance the role of Pathology and the Clinical Laboratory industry in patient centered care and in health services research. He is past-president of the Association of Pathology Chairs, past-Editor-in-Chief of LABORATORY INVESTIGATION, and founding Editor-in-Chief of the new journal ACADEMIC PATHOLOGY. He is author of over 240 peer-review papers, critical reviews, and book chapters, including numerous chapters in Liver and GI Pathology, and senior editor of three books. |
