Alan Schiller, MD Dr. Schiller is an internationally known orthopedic and soft tissue pathologist. He has authored over 140 peer-reviewed papers, chapters, abstracts and books. He is currently Associate Editor of Rubin’s Pathology, 7th edition to be completed 2014. Dr. Schiller has served on the Space Science Board of the Committee on Space Biology and Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences and was a member of the Life and Microgravity Sciences and Applications Advisory Committee of NASA. Dr. Schiller is on the Board of Directors of the National Space Biomedical Research Institute (NSBRI) Dr. Schiller is a retired United States Navy Captain with 47 years of service. Formerly he was the Professor and Chairman of Pathology at the Mt Sinai School of Medicine here in New York for 23 years. Currently, Dr. Alan Schiller is the Professor and Chairman of Pathology at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, at the University of Hawaii. |
