James M. Crawford, MD, PhD
Dr. Crawford is a nationally and internationally known Liver and GI Pathologist whose research focused on the pathophysiology of bile formation throughout the first part of his career. He has been working hard to advance the role of Pathology and the Clinical Laboratory in patient centered care and in health services research, including informatics, since arriving at the North Shore-LIJ Health System. Dr. Crawford is past-president of the Association of Pathology Chairs, past-Editor-in-Chief of LABORATORY INVESTIGATION, and served as Chair of the Council of Academic Societies of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and on the AAMC Board of Directors.
